Mr Ivy

The ivy used in the creations comes in three different styles

1.	White - The ivy is stripped of its bark and seasoned naturally
2.	Spalted - The ivy is left to fungal attack and then fast dried to create a brown finish with tiger like streaks
3.	Dark - The ivy is stripped of bark and left to season in a damp environment, then fast dried creating a dark or black finish
The ivy sculptures and furnishings come in a range of finishes dependent on the location of the finished piece. For outdoor use the ivy is coated with anti-fungal and ultra violet light protective coats of varnish. Indoor pieces of white ivy can be highly sanded but left untreated with oils or varnish. Spalted work is usually oiled and for outdoor use will be finished with coats of varnish.
